The market bursts at the seams full of companies offering diesel oil tanks of different sizes and capacities.
Producers try to hard sell their products through promotions to attract customers with the lowest price. Whilst it is certainly the easiest, this approach to selling is also very risky for customers.
Pursuant to EU regulations, diesel storage tanks must have two skins made from a certified material of specific thickness. They must also come equipped with a pump, leak and fuel level sensors, nozzles and other smaller devices. At first sight, all tanks are similar. Although designers try to devise new body lines, at the end of the day the tank technology and size come down to similar shapes and functionalities.
It is worth mentioning the guarantee which is also the same with all producers: 10 years for tanks and 24 months for its components. In order to be very attractive to customers, an offer should be linked with solid after-sale services necessary to respond to failures which can take place, especially with such long guarantee periods granted by producers.
This is why a mystery shopper from Fortis decided to phone every tank producer and report a tank failure. The record holding company put the call through to other people 8 times! Only two companies on the market proved to be ready for professional customer service – the notification was quickly received and registered and the customer was contacted within 48 hours from the call. It also turned out that some producers do not offer their own maintenance services, subcontracting them to an external company which, in practice, made the time necessary to remove a defect much longer.
Having identified a problem in the Polish market, Fortis keeps developing and investing in its assets to be in a position where, besides being a professional seller and customer educator, it can provide all kinds of services ensuring a trouble-free operation of its tanks. We promote the idea of transparency and support for our customers because we want the customer who purchased a tank with us to feel safe from beginning to end.
Dear customer! It has always been a fact that low prices usually bring problems. Since a tank is purchased for 10 years or more, you should run a thorough check of the seller including his resources, services and experience on the market. Remember – good maintenance services are crucial for your peace of mind and trouble-free operation of your private fuel dispenser will save you money. Selling a tank for the lowest price on the market is not an achievement! The true achievement is to be a trustworthy producer who will rise to the challenge of your problems with operating a tank.
