COMMISSIONING, ASSEMBLY
AND CONNECTION OF TANKS AND DISPENSERS
Tanks may be used to dispense fuel practically right after commissioning. We leave the customer with a fully functional and operational system adapted to his needs. As a result, the installed equipment works without problems and the customer may rest assured that it was installed professionally in accordance with guarantee conditions.
The same is true for connecting extra tanks to existing installations. Connection is also included in the price. The customer positions the tank in his selected location, and we do the rest.
Fortis Technology offers end-to-end assistance to its customers from the moment of selecting the type of device which best fits the intended purpose to its installation.
FAQ - READ ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Should tanks be grounded?
- Tanks should be grounded in accordance with existing Polish regulations on aboveground tanks for the storage of liquid fuel.
- Pump is noisy
- Check if mechanical ball valves in the tank are open.
- Check or replace the main filter in the tank.
- Check and clean the strainer in the tank.
- Check if mechanical ball valves in the tank are open.
- In rare cases, the nozzle may become airlocked preventing the pump from sucking fuel. If this happens, unfasten the nozzle and try to vent the system without it.
- Check or replace the main filter in the tank.
- Dispenser does not dispense fuel
- Pump cannot be activated:
- Check whether the dispenser is connected to power;
- Check whether the switch on the pump is set to “ON”.
- If the tank is equipped with a system cutting off power supply to the pump when the fuel level is low, make sure the level is not minimal.
- Check electrical connections, especially if the power cable connected to the pump is not damaged.

- Check the level of fuel in the tank:
- Check if the sucking pipe in the tank lies on its bottom instead of handing above the fuel surface.
- Check or replace the main filter in the tank.
- Check if mechanical ball valves in the tank are open.
- If the tank system was airlocked before the problem, check the condition of the pump vanes.

- Dispenser dispenses fuel slowly
- Check or replace the main filter in the tank. In the case of replacing a filter, check output right after venting the tank system. When a large amount of water is seriously contaminated or when paraffin precipitates in the fuel, filters may become clogged very quickly (even after 500 l of pumped fuel).
- Clean the strainer on the sucking pipe in the tank.
- Check whether mechanical ball valves are fully open (valve handle positioned along the axis).

- E01:
- Was the equipment re-synchronised? If not, the equipment must be synchronised according to Fortis instructions (First Activation of Apollo Smart) If yes, move the display closer to the tank or even put it inside the fill point cabinet and see whether there is any change; synchronise the equipment.
